No bullshitting here—it absolutely is. But not because I like this sim the most, but for other reasons.
Two years ago, I started making content for sim racing, mainly ACC-related. The game has seen updates like 1.9 and 1.10, but at its core, it's still the same as back then.
The last 8–9 months? No updates, no fixes.
A bit of a bummer?
Yeah, we wanted some new cars, maybe a track. But it is what it is.
So why is it still worth playing, even if you're new?
One big reason ACC doesn't get updates is because it doesn’t need them. The game just works.
You can start racing, set up your wheel and pedals, learn the tracks and cars, jump into multiplayer, and join communities. 99% of the time, everything works.
But ACC is dying, right?
Not long ago, some influencer said ACC was dying.
But guess what actually happened near Christmas?
Here are the analytics from my ACC beginner video—huge spike. This was during the same time people were arguing the game was dead.
The reality?
If you've been playing ACC since day one, I get it. You're ready for something new.
But if you're new to sim racing, ACC is still one of the best ways to get into GT racing. I see a lot of new followers jumping in, and they’ve got that same excitement I had when I started.
Another interesting thing
Whenever there’s GT3 racing in real life, I see a massive jump in views on my channel.
Yesterday, I did a race at Suzuka in LFM. Normally, there are 9 splits. This time? Only 2.
Not because ACC is dying, but because players are more spread out across different communities now.
Some are also getting into LMU, which is fine. But let’s be real—that game isn’t finished. Updates and bug fixes are great, but I’ve also seen new bugs introduced with them.
As for community racing?
I wouldn't use LMU for that right now. If half the field can’t even connect because of some bug, it’s just not worth the headache.
ACC doesn’t have those issues.
Want to finally understand car setups?
I’ve put together a practical, no-BS guide to help you build better setups, faster.
No overcomplicated engineering talk.
Step-by-step approach based on real track situations.
A system you can actually use when tweaking setups, so you don’t get lost.
This isn't just theory—it’s the same approach I use to build setups that work across different tracks. I would even claim you can use this approach to other sims!
