Not the usual newsletter today. But a big heads up, the July 22nd update is changing things again.
They’re tweaking the tire model and the setup screen UI. I think they listened to our feedback.
Right now, you need understeer to survive. Once the car steps out, it’s gone. But after the update? I believe we’ll be able to save more slides again. That could mean a LEVEL 3 setup suddenly feels like a LEVEL 1.
TC and ABS might feel different too. I’m testing it all.
First to get updated: BMW, Porsche, 296, McLaren, Lambo, Lexus, Aston.
Ford and Chevy will follow. I’m away next week with the fam, but I’ll fly back to work on these updates.
One more thing: I’ve done a bunch of daily races. Top speeds are balanced, but lap times? Not even close. I suspect some cars never reach proper 80° tire temps — that alone is costing them seconds. No setup tricks yet to fix it. Hopefully, after the 22nd, things like toe or brake heat will help.
Also, if you’re racing right now with my setups — try this:
TC 4 – TC Cut 8 – TC Slip 11
Totally stole it. But it works.
I’ll implement these into all the setups soon.
I’ll keep you posted. If you’ve got LMU setups from me, you’re in good hands.
PS
If you still need to pick one up, just know, they’re not hyper-optimized for hotlapping.
They’re built to finish races. To stay consistent.
Though... level 5s is actually pretty damn quick, not gonna lie.
Get them HERE
Cheers.

You mentioned tyres not reaching proper temperatures - can that be helped by increasing the pressures? The general consensus is to never touch the pressures but wouldn't it theoretically increase the temperature?
